Sometimes figuring out the side dishes for a meal can be just as difficult as choosing the main course. If you are struggling to choose quick and easy sides then take a look at these ideas: Vegetables Try tossing fresh kale with a sweet onion in a frying pan. Add a little olive oil, too. If kale is not your favorite then broccoli is also a good side dish option. Add some lemon and Parmesan cheese to add a twist to this traditional vegetable. Turnips also taste delicious when sautéed with olive oil. Make sure to save the turnip greens and throw them into the sauté pan, too. Salads Salads can be very easy to whip up. Throw some spinach in with some cherry tomatoes, hearts of palm, and avocados and you have a restaurant-quality salad that took no time at all to make! Salads are very versatile, so try out a variety of salad ideas to find your favorite. Fries Fries are always a good addition to a sandwich or hamburger and just because they are fries does not mean that they need to be unhealthy. Oven roasted French fries allow you to enjoy this indulgence without the guilt. Sweet potato fries add a gourmet touch. Mix up a fun dip like pesto mayonnaise for your fries and you have a perfect side for roast chicken. Bread Good French bread is always delightful. Focaccia is amazing, too. If you want to keep it healthy, then whole grain bread works best. Pasta Orzo tossed with spinach and Parmesan will be a tasty addition to your meal. Throw in a lemon butter sauce and this side dish will have the perfect amount of flavor. Sides do not need to take too much time to prepare to be delicious!
