I feel like the eye gets too overwhelmed with more complicated designs...
and I think the cards turned out OK too!
Do you like simple cards, or more detailed?

Oodles of super simple butterfly card ideas using vintage paper etc. I don't really like making the same thing over and over, but I did turn myself into a little factory when I made 40 butterfly cards. All of the cards are a tiny bit different, and all of them were super simple to make.... I started out with a pile of vintage papers: sheetmusic, maps, paper game money, slide filing cards, etc. I then started cutting out butterflies. I sat there for 40 minutes cutting out butterflies the old fashioned way: with scissors..... I took all my new vintage butterflies to the sewing/craft room, and combining them with paper and vintage ribbon, glue and an occasional sewing machine stitch, I turned them into super simple cards. I don't know about you, but I for one really like simple shapes and designs. I feel like the eye gets too overwhelmed with more complicated designs... All in all, I had a terrific time playing with my glue and scissors, and I think the cards turned out OK too! What do you think? Do you like simple cards, or more detailed? I love the papers you chose to create your butterfly with! I think my fav is the ticket, the book page, and the map. I guess I have many favorite's! I love all things that foster a desire to write letters and cards and I gush over such things over at www.ritewhileucan.com I think you may enjoy.
