I love the Fall. Warm days, cool nights, Pumpkin everything, and slipping back into my favorite jeans for daily wear.

My favorite is Gap's Long and Lean Jean. If you’ve got legs for days, there’s no reason to cut
them down with straight, loose cuts. Show them off with this flattering style, one that will do
especially well for Fall 2014 as flares of all varieties, including the accentuated boot cut style
of Gap’s Long and Lean Jeans, are very on-trend. I opt for the Regular Length and the Long
Length in this style, as they are designed to be extra long, so I have one pair that is all weather friendly (the ones I’m wearing) and one that is reserved for cool, dry city days as they sweep the ground, even in wedges.
I imagine this is true for many brands, that their lengths on different cuts vary. So with that in mind, if you’re on the hunt for the perfect jean, head to the stores and try on some different styles and lengths. They might not have exactly what you’re looking for in-store, but at least you’ll know what length to get depending on what style you like when ordering on-line.
Long and Lean: Diesel makes a great pair of jeans for showing off your slim figure and height while also giving you a little lift in the rear with both their boot cut and skinny jean varieties.
Apple Shape: White House Black Market has jeans that are both long and that offer various
rises within the styles, so whether you’re looking for a high, mid or low rise long jean, they’ve
got it in the style you want. As an added bonus, their sizes tend to be generous, making jean
shopping a little less painful on the ego.
For this Fall look I’ve paired my favorite Gap Long and Lean’s with a Caftan inspired top from
the Dana Buchman line at Kohl’s that works on its own. As a busy mom I love an easy to put
together outfit, no additions necessary. Tunic length tops like this one are great for tall omen
as even if they don’t fall exactly where they are designed to, they also won’t become a crop
top or, worse, cut your middle section in the exact wrong place. If you’ve never checked out
the Dana Buchman line, definitely do, especially as you can almost always find some beautiful
pieces on the clearance racks.
Happy Fall and Happy Jean Shopping!
