1/4 cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 pkg yeast
1 cup milk
1 tsp salt
5 - 6 cups flour
2 Tbs butter
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water with 1 tsp sugar added
Scald milk (I heat it in the microwave for about 45 seconds)
Combine and thoroughly mix eggs, sugar, and oil. Add milk and yeast and mix again. Add salt and flour. Mix well until blended. Let rise until double (a little over an hour). Roll out dough in two circles. Spread each circle with melted butter and cut into 16 pie-shaped pieces. Roll each piece, starting at large end. Place on pan and let rise again, about 1 hour.
Bake 350° Fahrenheit (175° Celcius)
12 - 16 minutes
Hint: start these rolls 2 1/2 to 3 hours before serving dinner
